Toronto (ON), June 17, 2014 – The Canadian Touring Car Championship (CTCC) presented by Continental Tire, in collaboration with ClearWater Design Canoes & Kayaks are happy to announce that the recipient of the Sportsperson of the Event for Rounds 3 & 4 in Montreal is Roger Ledoux.
The Sportsperson award is given to someone who distinguishes themself by accomplishing something out of the ordinary or by showing support to a fellow racer in a very sportsmanship way. Due to his strong involvement and dedication to the series, he demonstrates his passion for the sport every day, even through difficult times. Roger lost a very close member of his family just before the race event and when he arrived at the event, we were awestruck by his capacity to focus in such difficult moments.
Roger fought through his emotions and was rewarded with two podium appearances, one of which was victory in Round 4.
For all these reasons, we believe he deserves to be declared the Sportsperson of the event.
The next round of the CTCC presented by Continental Tire will take place on June 21 and 22 in Ontario, at the Calabogie Motorsports Park, a 5.5 km road track located southwest of Ottawa.
