Heartbreaking finish for Compass Racing at Road America – Michelin Pilot Challenge

Michelin Pilot Challenge Race

GS Class

Heartbreak today for Compass Racing at Road America. As Kuno Wittmer was just yards away from the finish line running in first place when his car suddenly started to slow down, this allowed Robin Liddell in the #71 Chevrolet Camaro to just slip past for the victory. It was revealed after the race that Kuno had accidentally hit the “Pitlane speed limiter button” instead of the “radio communication button” on the steering wheel.

The other two Canadian teams both finished in the top 10 with the #69 Motorsports In Action McLaren finishing in 7th, while the #13 AWA Racing McLaren came in 10th. Kyle Marcelli finished in 12th in the GS class in the #60 Kohr Motorsports Mustang

TCR Class

Mark Wilkins/Michael Lewis finished in 4th driving the #98 Hyundai Veloster while James Vance finished in 7th in the #23 Audi LMS
