@WCRacing – SprintX Rd 1 Results from VIR

 

In this years first outing for the SprintX series the top three overall finishers were :

1st #31 Daniel MANCINELLI / Andrea MONTERMINI TR3 Racing

2nd #82 Mike SKEEN / Andrew DAVIS McCann Racing

3rd #14 James SOFRONAS / Laurens VANTHOOR GMG Racing

Both Daniel Morad in the #2 CRP Racing Mercedes AMG GT3, and Kyle Marcelli in the R.Ferri Motorsport Ferrari 488 GT3 were running in the top 5 during their closing stints until both were hit with a drive through penalty for not adhering to the pit stop time rule. The Canadians in the race finished as follows:

6th Overall / 4th In Class – #2 Ryan Dalziel/ Daniel Morad , CRP Racing , Mercedes AMG GT3

10th Overall / 7th In Class – #61 Riberas / Kyle Marcelli , R. Ferri Motorsport , Ferrari 488 GT3

21st Overall / 3rd In Class – #23 James Dayson / Larry Pegram , M1GT Racing ,  Audi R8 LMS Ultra
