Kevin Lacroix Is Seeking a First Podium In Saskatchewan

Saint-Eustache, July 22, 2019 – Kevin Lacroix is on his way to the usual three-day NASCAR Pinty’s program in Western Canada, which takes place this week. The annual trip to Saskatchewan this Wednesday, then to Alberta this Saturday, is always an opportunity to meet Canadian racing enthusiasts’.

The Bumper to Bumper team will first head to Saskatchewan for a doubleheader at the Wyant Group Raceway this Wednesday, July 24. The Velocity Prairie Thunder Twin 125s is a two races event, each race being 125 laps. The drivers of the NASCAR Pinty’s series will have a break of 2h30 before coming back on track for the second 125-lap event of the evening.

The positions of the first round will be determined by a normal qualifying session, while the starting positions of the second race will be determined by the fastest lap in the first round.

Last year, the driver of car # 74 Bumper to Bumper / Total, Gates / PFC Brakes finished 6th and 7th in both events, and before that, in 2017, he also claimed two top 10s. “I have not yet clinched a podium finish in Saskatchewan, and I intend to change that this Wednesday, said the Saint-Eustache native. These races are always very intense, which is good for the fans, but which can be costly for us, the drivers. If something happens during the race in Saskatchewan, then the event in Alberta could be compromised. ”

Lacroix is currently 2nd in the Drivers’ Championship, just 2 points behind leader Andrew Ranger. It is a musical chair between the two Quebec drivers as they have been exchanging the lead in the standings since the beginning of the season.

Tuesday, July 23, the team will be at Sutherland Automotive – Bumper to Bumper, which is Saskatchewan’s largest auto parts retailer. A friendly lunch will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm during which participants can meet the NASCAR Pinty’s driver in the afternoon.

The team will also be traveling to Paragon Autoservice in Saskatoon, one of Bumper to Bumper’s partners, to prepare the car between the two events.

Kevin Lacroix Release:

Saint-Eustache (QC), May 15, 2019 – Kevin Lacroix will be back behind the wheel of the #74 Bumper to Bumper/ Total / Gates / PFC Brakes car in the highly-competitive NASCAR Pinty’s series for the 2019 season.

This season more than the last ones, Kevin Lacroix is gearing up to win the Championship title in the Canadian NASCAR series. “This season is different,” declares the drivers. “In the previous years, I didn’t achieve great results on oval tracks, so I would focus on winning on the road courses. However, we found the winning recipe on both types of tracks so we have to have a strategical approach to each race.”

Last season, the Bumper to Bumper outfit claimed two victories, six Top 5 and nine Top 19. Lacroix was the driver who led the most laps in 2018, with 789 laps at the front of the field.

“We have a different attitude towards the 2019 season. We are much calmer and we feel more ready than last year. We were dominant, but now we have to put our efforts towards not making any mechanical mistakes. On my side, I have to be clever. With these elements under control, we have less pressure and we will have a championship-winning team.”

Kevin Lacroix’s main goal will be to claim a maiden title in the NASCAR Pinty’s series. “We have to play our cards right to win the Championship. We need to be consistent and hope that luck is on our side.” Lacroix renewed his trust in Don Thomson Jr. who will be back as the crew chief of the Bumper to Bumper team effort.

The driver of the #74 Dodge is delighted to welcome once again his long-time partners; Bumper to Bumper, Total, Gates and PFC Brakes. “To see my partners back with me this year motivates me to claim the title for them.”

The Clarington 200 will be Lacroix’s 9th race at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in the NASCAR Pinty’s series. The green flag will be given at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 19. Lacroix is the second driver who has led the most laps on the Bowmanville track. J.R. Fitzpatrick holds the record with an impressive 208 laps led while Kevin has 129 laps led under his belt. The Saint-Eustache native achieved a hat trick at Mosport, claiming victories during the last event of 2016 and the two events of 2017.
